How to Donate

To be a Giving Neighbor you can help in several ways.  Go to the Neighbors in Need page and review specific requests that have come in to The Giving Neighbors.  You can follow status of these requests as The Giving Neighbors works to insure requests for needs are met.  

Your financial donations go to the general fund and will be applied to the need most urgent, the one with the largest financial requirement or the one that can be completely fulfilled with the amount that has been provided.  These decisions will be made by the team at The Giving Neighbors.

If the need requires ongoing help for a limited time then funds may be allocated in payment plans if this is agreed upon with the service provider. Funds will be granted to the service provider. 

The Giving Neighbors will work to get discounted services for the need requested. Our desire is to make known the needs of these to medical professionals who will partner with us. We will work to create bridges and make connections, ensuring that the funds are appropriately granted insuring the request is met and the provider is funded. 

An easy way to help this organization is through a new search engine powered by Yahoo!  called GoodSearch. GoodSearch will make a donation to The Giving Neighbors with every search. It doesn't cost you a thing — the money comes from the advertisers.

The more people who use this site, the more money will go to those in need. So please spread the word to your friends and family. Make this your homepage and give everytime you search.

You can give in-kind to support our NEIGHBORS IN NEED!    

We accept in-kind donations to help us continue our work helping "our Neighbors". This goes on all year long.  You can donate anything of value you have to give - electronics, antiques, tickets to sporting events and more - and we'll use it to support our work. Instead of letting items of value sit stored and unused let it help someone who needs to go to the doctor or the dentist.  The things you don't need or use anymore will help us to continue our work, plus, your gifts may be considered tax-deductible in accordance with IRS rules.

You can find us on eBay at seller id: agivingneighbor.  This is where we list those items donated from Giving Neighbors like you.

You can also help by talking with your doctor's, dentist's, pharmacy and friends.  If your doctor or a medical care provider who you refer is interested in participating as a health care provider in partnership with The Giving Neighbors you and that provider can have a short profile on our Thanks page.
